Need Help with personal essay

I have to write a personal essay about "Why i feel i am especially equipped to benefit from the lpn program?" I cant seem to find a reason. Any ideas??????:uhoh21:

Is this an admission essay?

What makes you want to be an LPN? What do you think that you will get out of the program personally? What are your future goals in nursing?

I look at it as asking why do you think we should pick you? (I am assuming that this is an admission essay)

Yes ,it is but i just cant seem to put what i am thinking on paper i feel stuck

the question is why i feel i am especially equipped to benefit from the lpn program? if you look the words equipped and benefit up in a dictionary you will find equipped defined as "furnished with the necessities for an undertaking or prepared intellectually for a certain purpose" and benefit is defined as "anything contributing to an improvement in condition". a thesaurus gives these words as synonyms for the word equip: outfit, rig, provide, appoint, dress, arm, prepare; and for benefit: "profit, advantage, gain".

  • you are being asked to talk about what positive characteristics you already possess to be a nurse.
  • you are being asked to talk about what you think you will learn in this school and how it will improve on these characteristics that you already have.
  • and, i believe they are asking how their specific lpn program is the one to do all that.

none of us can answer these questions. they are highly personal and designed to see how well you can organize your thoughts and write them down.

i would think about each of these points. this website talks about the attitudes and behaviors that a nurse should have: http://www.nursingschools.com/guidance/nursing-top-10.html - top 10 qualities of a great nurse. this lpn school should have a mission statement at the beginning of their section of the college catalog where they tell the world what their commitment and plan is with regard to the education of their nursing students and you should read and include some of those concepts in your essay.
