I would try prosper.com. You advertise your need, and regular people who want to invest their money in people offer a loan. Be careful with your personal information though. You could also try scholarships.com, and google nursing scholarships. If you feel safe and have a lot of support, you could try craigslist.org, but please, please, please be careful. I don't think I need to say that some people aren't very nice. Good luck to you!

I'm not sure if you have the time and if you don't maybe you could get family members to help you. You could do a car wash. Very cliche and I doubt would come near what you need but this is something that comes to mind. You could bid off a single cake for your cause. You could put a price on it and let people know what it's for and let the bidding commence! I'm sorry that's all I got. I hope that these help.:):loveya:
you could try the american legion, the vfw, the moose lodge for scholarships. also, check around hospitals/facilities you might want to work--the hospital ladies auxilliary i'm at offers a $1000 scholarship each year to an lpn and to an rn student. also, what about the financial aid department...if one person doesn't have anything for you, talk to someone else...go through the whole department! a lot of times, it's not what you know, it's who you know, and some of those people have been there long enough to know every trick! or current nursing students...don't be afraid to ask everyone you see if they know of a scholarship...the worst they can do is say no, and you never know-you might just make some great connections in the process! good luck to you!

Hello all!
I am currently in my last few months of LPN school and need ideas on how to pay for school. I am working as a CNA in a LTC facility and can't get help with school from them. This is not because of my work, but because of the budget. They have even put a hold on raises.
Anyway, I am about 6500 dollars short and can't get anymore federal loans. I am trying to get a 3000 dollar grant from kansas works, which will still leave me with 3500 to owe. I have worked so hard and don't want money to get in the way. I would like to find a facility in the Kansas City area that will hire me as a CNA and let me sign a contract to work for them as an LPN. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
