okay jaymie - here ya go:
# of years/type of educational experience i have a total of 15 years of nursing experience: 2 as an lpn, 12 as an rn and 1 year as an apn
describe the different roles in which the individual has worked in health care.
lpn - worked in long term care in a subacute unit caring for rehab patients. as an rn, worked one year in med/surg, one year in an micu and 10 years in a level one trauma center - my favorite job
explore how professionalism is incorporated in their role as a nurse.incorporated into the integrity that we have with ourselves, our co-workers, and our patients. sometimes a very difficult role to fulfill.
determine what advise each would offer to a person beginning in the nursing profession.1. go straight into a bsn program because it gives you more options. 2. learn all you can while in school - seek out clinical experiences. 3. don't write off certain specialties just because you didn't like them in school. for instance, i didn't care for peds or ob in school at all, yet in the er i liked caring for these patients. 4. once you are an rn, don't stop pursuing further education. doesn't necessarily have to be an advanced degree, might be conferences to further your knowledge in your specialty or something like that. always strive to do more. get involved in committees.
discuss the advice they would offer for the nursing student as they work toward the completion of their degrees.see above.
