Need Help! --> Done B.Sc from India

Hi,

I'm new to this so pls. bear with me.

I'm US permanent resident & have done Three year Bachelor degree in Science from India. I just did my evaluation from American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers http://www.aacrao.org/credential/index.htm and they evaluated my degree equivalent to 3 yr. of UnderGrad programme from Accredited univ. in United States.

Now I want to do BSN & want to become RN. What options do I have? I have looked websites of US universities. They all require >100hr. of volunter work. How should I get that? I don't have any nursing experience.

Should I get RN from India & then pass the state license? if I do that do I need to go thru CGFNS exam also?

I'm in WA state.

Thanks for advice!

for the voulnteer work, you can do that at a hospital in your area, etc. there are no specific requirements for that.

you can apply to any program for nursing school, since your program that you attended is not equivalent to a four year degree here, you will more than likely not be eligible for the accelerated programs that are there for people that already hold a four year degree.

why go back to india to train if you are going to be living here? doesn't make any sense to me.
