It must vary state to state because our state coverage covers everything whereas some private insurances do not.
Where we work, it is usually the more educated middle upper class women who opt for natural childbirth and use a Birth plan. Certain birthing methods do not use epidural a, so maybe research that and see if it pertains to certain groups.

Hello,
I've been trying to research the ethical and religious/cultural factors and how they relate to the use of epidurals during labor. I'm struggling because so far I found that women with state health coverage are less likely to get epidurals because insurance won't pay. I can't find anything on religions (except scientology) and their views on epidurals. I can't even seem to find the cost of the average epidural today. Any help on this topic would be appreciated.
Thanks
