I've found that I learn about drugs if I give them at clinicals on a regular basis. Looking at a list of drugs for a pharm. exam was like looking at the wall. Hardly any of the information sank in. It wasn't until I was in clinical researching the drugs before I gave them that I began to put two and two together. I'm more of a hands on learner. Seeing the drug, looking at its dose, researching the sign/symptoms in my drug guide, drawing up the medication for administration. It helps you memorize it.
It takes time. There's no 'simple' way to learn them, but if you do happen to find a simple way tell me!

Mosby's Pharmacology Memory Notecards: Visual, Memonic, and Memory Aids for Nurses
A great tool that I used to study for NCLEX.
Good Luck.

I asked my family about the meds they took and to tell me about them , read the labels, ect. That covered most of the drug classes. The second I knew someone I loved took it how could i forget! I got high A's in both of my pharm classes.
