I'm in need of help with correlating my patient i previously had.
Past medical history includes: GI bleed within last months secondary to duodenal bulb ulcer. HTN, history of CHF, paronychia on Right Toe, Heme + stool.
Past surgeries include Bleeding, duodenal ulcer treated endoscopically, hysterectomy. Palliative Right Hemicolectomy
I was wondering if anyone can help me correlate all these diagnosis including reasons for surgeries and tie them all together (or what can be tied together)
Some notable lab values include:
Hgb - 11.0
Hct- 32
BUN -13
If there is any other values that are needed, I will get them ASAP
I would appreciate anyone's help
Thanks for your time

what you need to do is look up information about each medical disease/condition as well as the various surgical procedures and what is done during them. if we do it for you, you'll learn nothing. learning this information is part of your nursing school curriculum.
this thread has links to a number of very nice websites where you can fin information on all kinds of medical disease as well as surgeries:
if you have specific questions after your reading and research, then ask.
I understand that that the GI Bleed is related to the ulcer as well as the blood in the stool. And that would also be the reason for the hemicolectomy. My question is could the HTN and CAD been related to been the cause of the ulcer/GI bleed?
- Would appreciate any help
THANK YOU
i understand that that the gi bleed is related to the ulcer as well as the blood in the stool. the way you are going to discover "how" is to look it up on the websites i gave you or in a good book of pathophysiology. i would be doing you a disservice in telling you the answer. welcome to the world of critical thinking. step #1 is knowing where to go to find information. i just pointed you in the direction to start looking.
