Need Help ASAP

Hello, I graduated from a New York State approved LPN program in July of 2006, took my boards in Nov of 2006 and did not pass. Well, life happened, I was in a bad marriage, he didn't want me to work, I put nursing on the back burner and almost three years later I am newly divorced and interested in working in the field...now living in Illinois.

I have read a few things about refresher courses...is this a requirement? I started studying again about two weeks ago and I would love to take my boards again, but I can't find any information on further requirements. I can still register to take my boards on the Pearson Vue site, but I don't know if I am wasting my time and money if something else is required. Does anyone have any information on this?

Is it even likely someone would hire me with no LPN experience for soo long? I really need some direction, and any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Requirement for a refresher course is a requirement in only some states in some circumstances. I doubt if three years out would fall under that category. You need to contact your Board directly to find out if you need such a course.

Thanks for your response, I appreciate it!
