Hi,
I am currently studying for the NCLEX exam. This is my second attempt to pass as I fell short the first time. I applied to the board of Nursing last April and still have not received my ATT letter. I have called them literally countless amounts of times and I continue to receive the same run-around answers. At this point, I believe they lost my application or they are purposely holding it back for some reason. I would GREATLY appreciate if anyone can give me some advice as to how to proceed and resolve. Or at least please let me know if you applied for a reapplication in 2014 for NJ and how long it took to get your ATT letter. I am so frustrated at this point I literally feel like crying. My whole life is on hold because of this. Thank you for all replies.
Sincerely,
K

The people you call on the phone are not actually at the NJ BON and do not have access to anything that the BON doesn't make specific note of in your file (this was relayed to me after I kept calling them over a paperwork issue in obtaining my license). They are at a call center and while they may be able to give advice on some things they were not very helpful in my case and I ended up going up to Newark. If you do go up to Newark be sure to ask for a status update and check that box on the form they give you (this means someone has to review your case and give you an update before you leave). I was lucky and left with my license number, but obviously everyone will have varying degrees of success.
Thank you both so much for responding. I know NJ BON is notoriously bad. I also know that the call center people do not know much about anything. I definitely will drive to Newark to get a status update. I really appreciate your help.
