Need to find a CNA cert. class in Sarasota area...please help!

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Hi, I am from North Carolina and I am moving to Florida (Sarasota area) this weekend. I am currently CNA certified in NC, and I want to get certified in Florida since I want to work as a CNA as I go through nursing school. I am attending Manatee Community College and I was surprised to find out they did not offer a CNA class. Does anyone know a place close by where I can get certified? I need to be in a class by January. Please help! Thanks!

Jennifer

Experioronline does the state testing and there is practice questions that will help you with the written part. I think you have to renew you license every year now and I think you have to have 12 CEU hours every year. I am getting ready to challenge the test any time, I have just been so busy with college and work. I went to a quick 2 week refresher course and they gave us some pointers. If you want I can e-mail some of the things I have typed out to help me study, just let me me know and I'll forward them to you.

Here is the experioronline webpage that will get you to the testing locations just click on the bulletin and you will have all the info that you need.

Try sarasota county technical institute. They offer CNA courses.

Since the original OP was done in December 2005, I'm sure by now she has been done here for the past 5 months.

So unless she is still looking, this thread can probably go into retirement.
