Need ER advice

Still in school for my RN with only a few months to go and I came across an opportunity to work in an ER. I am incredibly excited yet incredibly frightened to start my nursing career in the ER. I understand this is a great opportunity. I am looking for any advice I could get that will help me be the RN I wish to be. Thank you.

Maybe you could start as an ER tech now. Then you could get your foot in the door, see what the ER is all about, and it would be a way for you to then transition into a nursing role when you pass the NCLEX.

If you find that the ER is not for you, you would then be in a position to apply for internal job opportunities.

Best wishes!
