Need to decide between Los Angeles Valley College and Antelope Valley College

Published

Hello there!

I just want to get some feedback about these two schools. I was accepted to both schools and I could not really decide on where to go. I live in Valencia area. Is one better than the other in terms of quality of education, toughness of the program as well as the instructors? Your input will be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi,

I am currently taking some pre-reqs at Valley College. I used to work at Cedars-Sinai hospital in the city and we had a lot of nursing students from Valley. I really don't know enough about Antelope Valley to say but I hear Valley is a challenging program. How many times did you apply to Valley? Curious to know as I will be applying there myself. How was the TEAS and your GPA, etc. for entrance there?

Best of luck on your decision. Either way, you have chosen a great career :)

Hi Jen,

Thanks for the reply. I only applied there once and was able to make it to their list. My GPA is somewhere in 3.9x and I am not sure if this has any bearing with your standing since I was rejected from other schools. My suggestion to you is try to "A" your subjects as much as you can so you will have a lot of options later on. I may consider LAVC since this is nearer to my place. We had orientation this morning and they assured us that it will be tough and rough but it is something that is very possible to pass and even make it to the dean's list.

Hi...can someone please help me here to make a choice between LVN and RN and which insitution i can choose? I live at Van nUYS california.

Hi,

I am also aplying at Antelope Valley College for the RN program and I am just curious how long did you wait once you submitted your application to get accepted?
