Hello everyone! I was a member here once upon a time and needed some advice so re-registered and came back to join you guys!!
Here my situation:
I made it into my local college's AAS in Nursing. I went through first and second semesters (4 total after pre-reqs) and during my second semester I had a lot of problems family-wise that caused me too lose focus. I made it through the 2nd semester barely passing. I was still going through alot of stuff at the time and decided to not continue on with my classmates. Now here I am a year later and I just watched all my classmates graduate. I'm not sure if I'm just being weird or if I really want to go back into the program. I loved most of what we did and I really miss being around patients. I'm now in a position to where I can go back in the program and have the family support that is needed to be successful. I'm just worried that I'll get back into the program and something else will happen to where I can't finish. I didn't struggle so much academically. My only problem was I literally didn't have time to study then but now my situation is a lot different.
I guess my question is am I just being nostalgic or should I go for it (again).. Also, how should I find out how much I've retained over my year off..
Thanks in advance!!!

Hi! Nice to meet you.
Yes, you are being nostalgic and noticing what you've lost. That's natural and understanding.
But it's a bit more than that. If you really wanted to be a nurse the first go around, that desire probably isn't going to change. Now you know how hard it is, and you know what you have to do to succeed. Sounds like you need to bite the bullet, get back on the saddle, and go for it.
