You can always try taking a CNA class... it's not an intensive class, and you'll get some actual hands-on exposure to working with patients (and it's stuff you'll learn in nursing school anyways)... and you can see firsthand the role of nurses in the care of the patients (because you'll be working for a charge nurse during clinicals, too)
im been thinking of becoming a nurse for a few months now and i will graduate high school this may. does anyone know any sites i can take like tests or quizs to see if nursing is for me or not? i've always wanted to be in the healthcare/medical field but dont know whats for me and recently was interested in nuring. im still not sure if i want to do nursing if i do i will start pre-reqs this fall at a community college. any advice would help. thanks! :)
Another good idea is volunteering at a local hospital or local health center. Plus you would get community service as well as some experience. hope this helps... good luck!!
