Need advice about resignation

I am in my second week at a new job and can tell that I am not going to stay there. I am talking with my previous (still working there prn) employer and can go back full time.

My questions are:

1) since I am still orienting, do I give a 2 week notice? It's not like they have to replace me as I'm not even in the "real schedule" yet.

2) how do I politically correctly word my resignation. I feel that the facility is chaotic, cluttered, and not an environment that I will excel in.

Help! I have never quit a job this soon after starting.

1)Giving 2 weeks notice is the professional thing to do. Since you are still in orientation they will most likely have you "turn in your stuff" and not waste anymore time/money.

2)There is no reason to put your feelings of chaotic, cluttered or anything else in the letter, that is what exit interviews are for (if they do them). You will want to keep it short and sweet. "I apreciate the opportunity, however this will serve as my 2-week notice"

Yeah I would keep it pretty short. Even if you "hand in your two weeks", they will most likely just escort you out or just tell you not to come in the next day. I would type up a letter with no frills..."Please accept this letter as my resignation. Thank you for the opportunity". It is not worth your time or theirs to stay two weeks...but I would at least offer that way they know you are a professional. Also...I'd wait for your full time paperwork to go through before handing in that note.
