i accepted a job to do some home health and agency work, but there is no guarantee that i will get the hours that i need:o . does anyone have any ideas of something i can do at home from my computer that has to do with nursing or medical in general? i really need something else because this will not be enough to pay the bills. this is very very important. thanks.

You can look into medical transcription. Around here people make about $11/hr but they have to buy their own equipment.

You could always join another agency to get extra work, but perhaps you won't need to. I've worked for agencies several times and with the nursing shortage etc, you'll probably find as I did that you'll have more than enough work, so much so, that you'll be turning it down :-)
Here's hoping...good luck.

I hope you are right. They made it a point to tell me that work can be sporadic. Maybe they were just warning me so I couldn't blame them later. Thank you for your comment.
