Need Advice - DCCC 2010 Nursing

Published

Hello,

I recieved a letter from Delaware County Community College last week stating that my petition for 2010 nursing program had been reviewed and was incomplete. My official high school transcript is not on file with the admissions office.

It also states that since it was recieved after the priority deadline of October 20 2009 I will only be considered for a seat in the program if available or for placement on the waiting list. Do you think that it is worth submitting the final high school transcript and hope for a spot on the waiting list? My NET scores were not as good as I had hoped, 88 composite, 93 in Math and 82 in Reading. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for taking the time to read!

Unfortunately, your chances in getting in now are pretty much nil. However, if your're planning in applying in 2011, I would still send in the HS transcript. It can't hurt and you'll be prepared for next year.

Thanks for the reply. I was able to pick up my transcript from the high school today and handed it in to the admissions office. I wanted to be sure that it did not get lost in the mail. I have applied to other schools so I will just wait and see what happens.

Hello,

Does anyone know how many seats Chester County Hospital has for fall 2010? I'm #20 on the waiting list and hoping to hear from them soon. Do you know if they have started to notify anyone on the waiting list yet?

Thanks for your help.

There are 32 seats in both the day and night program for Chester County residents. I believe they have notified some people. There's another thread DCCC 2010 Nursing Program where a member stated she was #2 on the waiting list for Chester County night/weekends and was notified that she was accepted.

Thanks, I applied to the day program and thought there were more seats available in the day program than the nights/weekend program. I wonder how many students were notified from the waiting list last year.
