2nd attempt at NCLEX suggestions?

Published

I am happy to say that I just became a mom this year on April 19, 2011:D...but sad tht I did not pass the NCLEX on my first attempt back in March:crying2:. I know it was my fault for not studying enough && not putting my full focus && attention towards the exam. Right now I feel lost and behind since all of my classmates have already passed the NCLEX and that just makes me feel like a failure. My little boy just turned 2 months and has taken up so much of my time but I know that I am determined to get back into preparing for the NCLEX a 2nd time around... Im nervous that I have not studied these past monts and afraid that I have forgotten everything I have learned throughout nursing school. I am praying to God and going to start studying KAPLAN. ***I studied ATI for my first attempt*** If anyone has any suggestions on where I should pick back up that would mean great help to me.:)

You can do it, I worked as a Nurse in the UK, and have been trying to pass this damn test for the last couple of years. What you will need to do is, go back to basics, review your basic content, Hurst Review it very good for that, LaCharity for Prioritization and then just practice question and review the rationales whether you get it right or wrong........you can do it.....good luck!

Start over from the beginning and prepare as if you had never tested before. You don't want to trick yourself into glossing over any areas because you think you already know the material. Good luck.

thanks to you both...I started reviewing the basics and just going through everything optimistically.... slowly but surely and with the faith in God I will make it through this :))
