NCTC LVN 2019 Fall Applicants

Published

Hello, I was just wondering if anyone was applying to the NCTC Fall (in-seat) 2019 program?! If so, have any of you taken your TEAS exam yet?! Also if you currently are in/were in the LVN program at NCTC, do you mind sharing your experience(s)!! I have already applied to the program, I just have to take my TEAS exam next month!

I just applied to the program starting in the fall. I made an overall score of an 80 on the TEAS. Which campus did you apply for?

I applied to the Corinth campus. I just took my TEAS today and scored a 71.3% :/ I'm hoping it's enough to get into the program!! I plan on retaking it before the deadline! Which campus did you apply to?

I think that is a great score ? the TEAS was super difficult!

I applied to Gainesville and Bowie.

During the information session, they said that Corinth is taking fewer applicants this year because they are moving buildings or something along those lines. Could you add another campus to your app as a backup just in case it's more competitive?

I seriously thought about doing that. I remember when I went to the information session, on the application it told us to just choose one campus. I wanted to choose Corinth AND Gainesville since I’m in Lewisville! Should I just email Casey Weatherly and ask??

I would definitely email her and ask. It couldn't hurt. They told us that if we wanted multiple campus selections to select each campus and write which option was our 1st choice and which was our 2nd choice.

I applied to the LVN program both Gainesville & Corinth Campus I Take My TEAS on the 15th I’m super nervous!!!

I emailed Casey and told her my score and she said that as long as I made a 50% in each section then I will have an opportunity at the Corinth and Gainesville campuses! I’m excited but nervous at the same time. I spoke with an academic advisor and she told me that I would probably be fine since I made the required scores on the TEAS and that she would recommend me to just wait it out rather than retesting.

It’s not that bad as far as the math and reading, they were a piece of cake for me! It was the science section that was extremely broad ??‍♀️! Science was all over the place. I barely passed science with a 55.5% but at least I passed it lol. English isn’t too bad. Just know how to spell words like: Recommend and you’ll be just fine! Good luck!

I agree on the science section! If you get a TEAS study guide and really review the science section, I think you will do great!

Hey guys just wanted to give y’all an update on my TEAS I did good on every section but the science I’m discouraged to send my results but ima send them anyway to see what happens!!

As long as you score the minimum of 50 per section, I think they really go by overall score. Our orientation leader said that her last semester had a minimum score of about 72 points (overall). That was at Gainesville though so I'm not sure how competitive the other campuses are. Good luck to you!! ?
