So, it's over. 2 years of 12 hour days, losing part of my memory/mind in order to stay focused, putting friendships/dates/family time on hold or just spending the minimum with people since my mind was always so clouded- it's over.
I took it yesterday for the first time and got the good popup after 78 questions. Not very many sata for me, but around 15 alternatives overall. I'm still in shock and still think I failed because it can't possibly be true, but I pray it is! I am 29 and have been in college since I was 18. I obtained a BA in psychology in 2009 and then went on to pursue a masters in mental health counseling. I don't have my masters yet (2semesters away) because I enrolled in nursing school a year after. I was doing two programs at once (two grad classes, full time nursing school). I would either not work or just work one day a week. I busted my butt. I wanted to be a nurse bc counseling has a very high burnout rate (5 years!!) and they just want you to diagnose people! I didn't want to label someone to get money from their insurance company- AWFUL. I know that's what happens in healthcare, but most likely the agencies want a high paying diagnosis and that's just not me to do it. SO there I was, in nursing school busting it out! When I was younger, ages 19&21 my dad died then my brother died. Dad was physically sick, brother was mentally sick. So I chose to work in both fields. One day I'll be a counselor but for right now, I think I'm an RN. ???
I just want to say THANK YOU. This forum got me motivated to study and continue on. You are all wonderfully encouraging and I'm so excited to soon be an RN and be able to say I'm a part of a group as awesome as this.
*For anyone freaking out or unmotivated- it's worth it, keep going, push through!! We are all here for you. You can and will do this!!!

Congratulations! How did you prepare for the test?
The only thing I used was Kaplan and then looked up content when I wasn't sure to make it more clear. :)
