Any last minute tips for me?

My weakest point is health promotion ? I did the kaplan readiness test and I got 68.% my exam is tomorrow morning. Pray for me.

Forgot to ask you, did you do any other kaplans?

In my opinion it was not difficult. I had no strip, med math, exhibit. but i had aloooooot of prioritizing questions 3 drag and between 10-15 SATA. Kaplan q bank questions were very similar to NCKEX questions I mean I am sure that I saw like 5 questions in q bank asking about the same topic but in different words. I did all the q bank questions average 57%, q 6 63% and q 7. 56% ( this one I was tired and distracted) I did not do all trainer because I had no time to do it so I focused on the passing level questions. Also I started studying with hurst and did all the tests ranged from 80/88/125. Hurst was excellent in content and it really simplify the most difficult diseases. I give credit first to hurst then kaplan.

Very informative thanks so much! Hoping I have a similar experience as you. I didn't do hurst bc I just didn't have the time. Kaplan was so time consuming. Plus my school drillllllls Kaplan so I didn't have to pay any extra! My aunt, a nurse educator, also loves hurst! Hoping Kaplan is enough though.:)

I think kaplan is good if u just graduated. You know I graduated 5 years ago from non US school. so I really needed a refreshment on content first then practice questions. So my advise to you get enough sleep, eat good breakfast and PRAY PRAY PRAY to god and take deep breath while you are taking the exam don't panic be calm. Good luck:-)

Gotcha! Will keep you posted. :)

My school did Kaplan and I'm so glad I did!!!!! Took the nclex today and I left smiling LOL Shut off at 75qs and got the good pop up. I feel weird saying this and don't wanna jinx it lol but it was not hard for me. Honestly your scores look good, mine were similar so you need to maintain your confidence! I did, I mean Im not perfect and OF COURSEEEEE was nervous but I'm like listen...at the end of the day it is a basic competency test. I've been consistent throughout nursing school, was consistent thus far, did my review, did my practice questions and understood rationales so why would I fail? You have to think like that, be confident in what you do know and how far you have come already. I was like- Ive taken so many darn tests, whats one more? haha But seriously you'll be FINE!!!!!!!!!!!! Only advice I will ever give out- ever (b/c it is the ONLY advice ppl need) is...DO NOT OVER THINK IT.

Now that I've taken it, I feel like people's emotion and psyching themselves out is what fails them, not their abilities. Don't get frazzled if it goes past 75 for example, just keep going. Get comfortable and act like youre hanging out at home doing another practice test.

Good luck :)

Thank you so much sparkles1! What a positive post for any test taker. :) I think I'll read that again before tomorrow. Lol

You dissapeared but anyhow I did take my test as promised back in march and pass with 75 questions[/quote']

That's great I had to much issues but now God has showed me a better way so I'm going for it wish me luck!

awww thank you!! I'm so glad I can help ease ppl's nerves b/c lord knows I was there. & hind sight is a funny thing b/c I would have laughed at how ridiculously nervous I was in relation to the actual situation lol

Looking forward to hearing that you got the good pop up (b/c you will)!!

Finally out! Took me about three hours to answer 75 questions. Not sure how I feel. Made a couple stupid mistakes. Had 20 SATA and 1 drag and drop and 1 EKG. I already did the Pearson vue trick (haha) and the message of "our records indicate you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your member board for assistance. Another registration can't e made at this time." Is this a good pop up?

Specializes in Cardiac.

it's a good pop up. congrats RN!
