contact your state board of nursing to see if they award extensions. BTW, waiting will not make it easier. Strike while the information is fresh!

Once it expires, it is gone. They do not grant extensions and you will need to reapply to the BON that you were taking the exam for; meaning that you will need to pay them again, as well as the fee for the exam. You are also writing a national licensure exam, it is not specific for one state.
This is why we always tell everyone not to register with Pearson-Vue until they are ready to test. Once the ATT is issued, it cannot be extended. If you cannot test before your ATT expires, then it will no longer exist and you are start over again with applications. Suggest that you go ahead and write the exam, or you will just be forfeiting the fees for both.
Neither the BON or Pearson-Vue make exceptions to this rule.
