I am a graduate nurse and studying to take NCLEX sometime in March. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips about how to study and pass successfully. I am so nervous and would want to take it just once.

Hi I just passed the nclex in wisconsin(LPN). I have tips if this is your area of study. Let me know..

when i took the test in california last dec ...i noticed that its good to pay special attention to triage (to answer the prioritization questions),growth and development,vital signs for each age group) uhm...what else...i'll let you know if i think of some more tips...

Pay close attention to disaster triage and how to prioritize during that time.

Also which of your patients do you wnat to see first when you get out of report. .....be prepared for those types of questions..........

Also, remember that each person's exam is going to be different, so specifics that were on onw wouldn't make any difference to the next.

Take time for yourself the night before and make sure to eat breakfast before going to the exam. If you don't know the material by then, cramming is not going to help one bit. :)

I just took it about a week and a half ago and passed. I used Saunders for information as for as disease processes but I used Kaplans guide to help me with actually taking NCLEX. It reviews the ABC's of answering questions and etc. Go on Kaplans website also and jion and you can do some practice questions. They also have some example questions on there that I could have sworn was on my test! Make sure you study prioritizing and delegation. It was almost my whole test and I only had 75 questions! Relax (I know its not easy because I been there)! You'll do fine. Keep me updated.

Also those things everyone posted was on the test but I only had a few questions so I got a little of some things and more of others.

hey same here...i used saunders and reviewed at kaplan too...and i passed!!! i think the tips that they give in kaplan really helped because i would choose a different answer but then when you remember the tips that they give you, you would have a different answer which will make sense...

like...stay with the patient at all times, dont pass the buck, nclex is not the real world...things like that...
