Hi Everyone -

I went today and took my NCLEX exam at 9 am. I am scared to death - I felt like I knew NOTHING!! I walked out of there feeling stupid. THe test shut off at 85 questions - Is this GOOD or BAD?? Is it normal to feel like you knew barely anthing? I talked to one of my friends who also took her exam today and hers shut off at 86. Why one more question? THis is gonna drive me NUTS. Whats the soonest anyone has gotten results?

Help me feel better about this before I have NO more fingernails!!!

How many questions did you have? I took mine this morning at 9 and my comp shut down at 85 and I had 5 choose all that apply.

Thank-you so much for your support, everyone thank you!!! I found out today I passed!!!!!:balloons:( happy dance) :monkeydance: :monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance::monkeydance:I 'am sooooo relieved, I honestly felt like the whole test was a crap shoot. The planets and the stars must have been aligned just right or something,, maybe it was all that praying I did? Whatever it was it WORKED!!!! I'm passing my lucky vibe on to all the other test takers out there, :lol2:GOOD LUCK!!!! WhEW!!! Okay now enough of that, now I need a job! LOL!!:uhoh3:

I am new to this and I dont know if I am replying to you correctly...How many ?'s did you have? I had 85 and 5 choose all that apply.

What was different for you taking this test compared to the first time? Did you study something different? I took my test today and it stopped at 85 so I don't know whether to feel good or bad about it. I had a lot of prioritizing as well as meds and no med calculation. I answered 6000+ questions of Saunders and 145 of Kaplan. I felt that Kaplan helped me more than Saunders because it was formatted like the NCLEX computer.

Well I certainly did alot more questions, but that was not it. This website helped alot with tips, I learned alot how to look for when prioritezing and shift changing. I definetly studied well on those labs values. With meds, there is really no list of meds to study. I happened to know some of what they were asking. I did not get too many. During the test, I could tell I was getting harder questions. The last one I could tell some of them that I got were easy and that kinda worried me. I had gotten 5-6 select all that apply. Some of those were choose the ones that are correct and there were some that said choose the ones that need further instructions. I somewhat felt better prepared this time around. But at 85 you really do not know. Its either you did really bad or really good. Sorry to put it that way with the bad. But that is true. Just keep thinking positive, no negative thoughts and keeep on praying on it. I waited 2 weeks for my results in the mail. It seemed longer. Kinda got anxious during the end cause I knew it was time to find out. But doing questions help cause you get to practice to eliminate and which one to keep as your final answer. Best wishes on your results.:balloons:

I just finished my exam, which stopped at 85. I felt like I knew nothing, which seems to be the consensus here. What a horrible feeling. It's a shame to spend all that time studying and then leave the testing center feeling like a complete moron. Where were the medication calculations?!?!? I didn't have one!! There were enough meds, though, and not the ones you'd think would be on the test. I've never taken a test like that. I hope it turns out the way many others have. All indications are that stopping at 85 is good. We'll see.......

HELLO EVERYONE...I TOOK MY TEST YESTERDAY AT 3PM, AND I AM A NERVOUS WRECK!!!!!! I RECEIVED ALL 205 QUESTIONS...IS THAT GOOD OR BAD???? I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO THINK RIGHT NOW...BUT I WAS TRULY UPSET THAT I HAD NO MED/ I.V. CALCULATIONS AND I HAD STUDIED THOSE FORMULAS TO THE DEATH...MOSTLY MATERNITY QUESTIONS AND THAT WAS MY HARDEST AREA BY FAR, ALTHOUGH I MANAGED A B...JUST LOOKIN' FOR SOME WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT, CUZ I SWEAR I AM GOING CRAZY!!!!!!!!!! AND I CAN'T SEEM TO STAY OF THE B.O.N WEBSITE:uhoh21:

Hello to the both of you and I wish you well. I felt the way you did not even 3 days ago. I got the 85 questions. Honestly with 85 or 205 questions results can turn out either way. I did my research and seen people pass or fail with 85 and pas and fail with 205. My question to the both of you is, did the last 60 questions feel like they were getting harder or easier. I felt that the first set was way too easy then all of a sudden it turned out very hard. In MY OPINION if your questions during the end was hard, then I feel thats a great sign. If it was easy I would be a litle concern, but I will pray the things do turn out in your favor. That nclex will mess with your mind. Please think positive. ;)

My friend took the NCLEX-PN and she had all 205 questions and she passed. So hopefully that calms your nerves. I am sooo curious I had 85 questions and 5 or 6 select all that apply. So I will find out tomorrow morning.

I think they were all hard! I know I had a easy questions. My 5 or 6 select all that apply were in the middle and toward the end...so hopefully that is a good.

Hello, I had 85 and 5-6 select all that apply.Mine was toward the middle and the end too. What we do not know if those count toward our score or are those the freebies or split in the middle. So then you have 60 that is scored if it cut off at 85 and that is the decision that the computer and staff have to look over to make sure if its a pass or fail. But yes def could tell the hard questions and the ones I had no idea about but did the best to my ability. Try to keep your mind busy. If you are in the state with quick results then you do not have that long of wait. But if you live in Calif like me then you know the wait. MIne was 2 weeks out of the 4 thankfully. The wait was long enough then the good news came. Good luck to you.

You know what I noticed here. I hear many people say the staff at the testing center does not know if you passed or fail, but after reading so many post alot of people have said a staff member said something to them that gave them hope. Maybe it is a coincidence, but before I left the testing center, the staff member asked me for my ID I couldnt find it, so she finger printed me because that is what they do. After being finger printed then I found my ID nad gave it to her. She then looked at me and relpied, you did so good you dont want to mess up now. I didnt think about it until I recieved my results and seen that I passed. But as far as you having to wait I dont know if I would be sane if I had to wait 2weeks. 48 hours almost landed me to have to go to the pych ward in the hospital. Thats no joke. But you keep busy I noticed when I stayed busy I didnt think about it, but when I relaxed I was a mess all over again. I know you passed.

Well, add me to the list of those whose tests stopped at 85, left the testing center feeling like they failed, and then PASSED. Thank God for Quick Results.....I was going nuts. Really bad test, in my opinion! Now I head into the workforce feeling like an idiot..........................

Thanks for the well wishes, DARKANDPROUD! I felt like my questions were hard from the beginning, without any letup at all. As far as I'm concerned, I had about 2 easy questions out of the 85. I was an 'A' student in nursing school, studied the orange Saunders book for a couple of months, did thousands of practice questions, and when I was taking the test I kept thinking "where the hell are these questions coming from?". It kills me that you can spend all that time preparing for a test and then not be tested on what they pound into your head as being the basics. At this point, I don't care; I passed. I do feel bad for those that fail, though, because I don't think the test is fair. Look at all the comments here; have you ever heard of a test where nearly everyone feels like they failed? It's insane!!
