I took california NCLEX RN examination way back 2007 and unfortunately I failed on my first attempt. Today is 2012 and almost 5 years ago when I took the exam. I'm planning to reapply but I'm wondering if my files is still active after 5 years since I applied or do BON abandon files after certain years? Do I need to download the reapplication form or the new applicant forms? I can't see any information regarding this matter, please help. Thanks

i think you only got 2 years for them to keep your files.
I see. Thanks Schizoh.
According to BON, they abandon applicants documents/files after 3 years if you do not attempt to reapply for the exam.

I think the best thing to do is contact (phone or email) them. That was long time ago and they might have change their list of requirements every 3-5yrs...

In my state, you need to submit a new application every time to are reapplying for the exam, no matter how long it has been. Once you have failed the exam once, your application is marked "Denied" or "Withdrawn" etc. and you need to submit a new one to be reconsidered.
