For all of those who keep failing the NCLEX... here's some advice KEEP TRYING!!!
I graduated in may 2011 with my ADN from a 9 month online Paramedic to RN program where I didnt learn anything at all. I took boards June 2011, fail, I took boards Sept 2011, Fail, I took boards again, march 2012 fail. I was about to give up... At all whits end. I took some time off and started studying July 12th, 2012. I scheduled for Oct 30 2012 at 0800. I had a personal tutor through work through out all this and we had met 1 day a week for 1 to 2 hours. I told my tutor i didnt want to use him this 5th time as I did not think he was working, since I had him since the 2nd time I took it and still had not passed. I was using a friends study plan of 6 hours a day, 6 days a week, when I got burnt out from that. I contacted my tutor again and we met again the beginning of September. He told me he would have me ready by Oct 30th. I used ATI and Saunders. I had a friends ATI from when he was in RN school, I did not use Virtual ATI. I used the Saunders book for review, and did the Saunders CD for questions. I did over a thousand Saunders questions and all of the ATI test as well as met with my tutor 1 time a week. The whole week before I quit studying, I just relaxed went out on some dates with my boyfriend, visited family and got a pedicure. The night before i got a hotel room, drank some wine and went to bed super early. I didnt sleep very good at all about 3-4 hours of sleep. I got up late, and rushed around ate some breakfast and went to the test site. I wasn't really nervous because I have done it before many times. I took a break at question 72 and again at 140. 3 hours later, 265 questions I was done. I felt good about it, and had alot of SATA and 2 drug calcs and 1 question picture. I went home and relaxed.. About 3 hours later the board of nursing called to personally congratulate me on passing and I started crying and yelling and jumping and down like a little girl. its been a long road but it is FINALLY DONE. So don't give up you can do it!!!!!
