Hi everybody,
Im applying to be licensed in the state of new york and I'm a little confused about the whole process (school did a terrible job of explaining it to us). I've sent the NYS BON an application for licensure and registered for the nclex with pearsonvue but after 3 weeks of waiting no ATT!!! Someone else from a different school told me that i have to send the BON a verification of education form??!! Never heard of this...can someone elaborate please. Thank You!

Where did you go to nursing school? NY or elsewhere? If NY, the school will send verification to BoN. If another state, you need to send the form to your school to have your education officially validated/verified
I went to school in NY I just graduated last december from a ABSN program. I just called the board and a lady told me that i do in fact have to fill out form 2 which is titled "Certification of Professional Education". I did notice that the top of the form stated in bold "If you graduated from a New York State licensing qualifying nursing education program after April 1, 1998, you do not need to submit this form"....Huh???!!! Im so confused! my school said nothing about this many of my classmates are still waiting for their ATT to come in as well....

I called this morning and a lady told me that your school has to fill out that form OR send them a transcript. She said there was two options but now I will have my university do both.
Thanks for letting me know I'm kinda mad that I'm just finding this out, i didn't see this info on any of the websites ill let everyone in my class know too.
