Hello Everyone,
I'm taking the NCLEX-RN in 5 days and it will be my second attempt. As the days get closer, I get more anxious. I must say that I do read alot of the posts on here and esp the passing ones because they really encourage me and bring down my anxiety. I am hoping for the best cuz I know I am trying my best studying and I feel more prepared than I did when I took it the first time. My last Kaplan q-bank test was 90% !!!! so I'm confident but there is that little voice in my head that says "what if" and I'm trying my best to ignore it. The pos. thoughts are really what I focus on nowadays because the first time, I was a mess, didn't sleep at all the night before, I actually fell asleep a couple of times during the test....I was just clicking through the questions as fast as I could (If I didn't know it, I didn't even attempt it). Well when I got my results, I was near passing on all levels which was encouraging as well. Now I've been getting myself to sleep early and wake early so I can avoid another sleepless night. I can say, I'm exhausted from studying and I'm dragging myself to the library everyday and I still don't seem to be productive (ie:today-> been here for 5 hours and haven't done much). I would appreciate any advice/encouragement to continue studying. I am really praying that I will be able to post my YES I PASSED story on here to encourage others as you all have encouraged me. Everything is in God's hands and I can study my life away but I trust that I will not pass this test without the will of GOD. I am thankful that I have even made it this far (getting through nursing school), I'm thankful for my life, my health and family and to be honest although this test is really important to alot of you, We've really got to appreciate each and every blessing because even failure can open doors that you may have looked over.
PS: I really don't want to fail but I am trying to stay positive :-)

hellooo! i am aspiring to be a us -rn like you and anytime soon, i will be taking the exam as well. i just started my review, doing it by myself and i know i haven't done so much as you did.
anxiety is considered to be a normal reaction to a stressor. what's the stressor? taking the nclex.
just surrender yourself to god since you already did your part. believe and live your faith, everything will be fine.
read these passages from the bible the night before you take the exam.
deuteronomy 8
psalm 23, 91, 31, 46, 37:3-8
proverbs 3:3-8
matthew 6:9-14, 7:7, 21:20-22
i will fervently pray for you my friend. i know you can do it! go, go , go!!!!!!

Hey Westateneed2pass,
You will pass. No one feel ready for this thing. No matter how hard you study or prepare, there is always going to be that voice telling you "what if...". Just make sure you enjoy life as it unwraps and not to drill yourself on books. YOU WILL PASS. At the same time, make sure you have mastered put in all you can to prepare. Do your part and let God do the rest :)

Good Afternoon,
I think that you should stop studying as much as you are and go for what you know. Definitely do not study the night before either. You know this stuff, but your giving yourself a hard time and I did the same when I took my NCLEX exam. I even drove myself to sickness (anxiety) the day of my exam. Also, having to take the MAX amount of questions that the test had to offer...so trust me I know how you feel. Don't rush through the questions even the ones you do not know, use your process of elimination on those that you don't know and keep it moving. You...yourself stated that you passed the majority of the categories with flying colors. So relax and go pass your RN exam with flying colors in 5 days! You got this...so stop studying so much, because you aren't getting anywhere and go take your test and provide EVERYTHING that you know! I am looking forward to reading your passing story in 2 wks! GOOOOOOD LUCK!
