  1. From a new RN= possible TIA, CVA, or PE. nitro SL, O2 (hx of COPD? - drive to breath ) and call 911. MD will probably follow a cardiac protocol- get troponin level, BNP, Electrolytes and all that good stuff including ABGs and EKG.
  2. hey, my advice for you is to stick with answering questions. Do as many as possible. To me, NCLEX exam was like running a track championship... you have to workout everyday to feel ready for the race. just like track championship no one feels ready for this exam coz that is how its set up. Do questions even in your sleep and read the rationale for every question. Best of luck.
  3. wow nice. i have been wanting to learn spanish but i have not started learning it yet. English teacher from Kenya, that sounds great. i bet he was great. we learn the British system... the best. Travel Nurse is great you should look into it. I plan on finding more about it and see what options i have. I am in Indianapolis, USA
  4. wow! Gitano! thats amazing. what did you like about travel nurse? any dislikes? advantages of going with BSN or MSN? thanks in advance
  5. Born and raised in Kenya. Beggining my Nursing journey. Currenly working at a hospital- Medsurg floor in the US.
  6. best of luck
  7. its normal to feel like that. No one is ever prepared for this exam and plus you still have some few days left to get some practice done. best of luck.
  8. It sounds like you are doing great with the qbanks. I would say keep at it. Also, go in expecting a longer test but hoping for a short one. Once the test keeps going past 75q, DO NOT PANIC, keep your focus coz that means you are still in the game. In addition, take those breaks that you get and if at any point you are reading the question and feel like you have lost your concentration, by all means take a break. Best of luck over the weekend as you prepare. If you decided to take it on Monday, then take Sunday off your study coz at that point, there is nothing you can add or subtract from what you know. I did my exam and ran out of time but passed exam.
  9. Hey Westateneed2pass, You will pass. No one feel ready for this thing. No matter how hard you study or prepare, there is always going to be that voice telling you "what if...". Just make sure you enjoy life as it unwraps and not to drill yourself on books. YOU WILL PASS. At the same time, make sure you have mastered put in all you can to prepare. Do your part and let God do the rest :)
  10. hey blynn9173 Have you taken the exam again yet?
