I am due to graduate nursing school in December of this year. Several of my classmates decided to do the Hearst Review this summer, I did not. Our school uses ATI which also has an online NCLEX study review. Does anyone have any experience with either of theses reviews? Do you think either is superior to the other? Are any of you just "good test takers" and have passed without all the additional studying? I'm just wondering if all the worrying over the NCLEX is worth it.

I graduated at the end of August and passed NCLEX the second week of September with 75 q. My school also used ATI. I did the online Kaplan review. I didn't really watch the videos, just did the qbanks and the qtrainers..I also looked through a Saunders book a bit and used the nclex mastery app on my phone.
I thought the nclex was easier than Kaplan. I was convinced I failed because the questions weren't as hard as Kaplan and I thought there was no way I passed. I thought nclex was comparable to ATI, but a little harder..Do i feel like Kaplan helped? Honestly I'm not quite sure..I was already a good test taker in school and when I took NCLEX I didn't feel like I used the Kaplan strategies much at all. I do think I overstudied for NCLEX, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be...but I also had a job lined up so I wasn't about to take the chance and just 'wing it' and see what happens lol. If you aren't a good test taker I would recommend Kaplan, but if you are already a good test taker I'm not sure I would recommend it because honestly, their strategies just confused me and I did better on the questions when I didn't use their strategies..but that's just me. I really liked the 6th edition Saunders book for content review.
