if anyone is deciding between kaplan or the feuer nursing review.
choose feuer i highly recommend it. if anyone wishes to need more information dont be shy. i feel it prepped me greatly for the nclex much better than that of kaplan...

Did you do the course review or just the cds and how soon did you take the exam after the review I am thinking about it because a lot of people seem to be failing with Kaplan and I was also told Kaplan doesn't actual teach you any theory just strategies
true...kaplan teaches you test taking strategies. feuer incorporates the strategies and gives handouts summarizing each topic of what will be on the nclex. for example a med surg, psych, maternity, peds, pharm, math. i did the whole review class for 1week in new york city and it was well worth it. i also did the cds and completed all the homework books which is only to your benefit. just keep doing questions. I also bought the NCLEX RN review book by Pearson Vue, which is the actual people who give the nclex.excellent book to help study. i took the class for one week, went away on vacation for about a week and a half.and studied for 2weeks straight. i then realized i needed more time and extended it another week. so try to give yourself 3weeks that made me feel comfotable.... :)
ok thanks for the info

Hi xxJohnnyTxx I was wondering if you recommend just using feuer package only, because i noticed in yoour other post you talk about other sources you used.

I highly recomment NOT using Feuer!!! It's a horrible program, waste of money and they give you question books filled with incorrect answers. I regret ever going to that class!

Feuer was a good program, but I just used the CDs given to me by a fellow student. It is very expensive. I also took Kaplan as a class because I wanted to learn how to answer the questions, the content you can get from hundreds of places. My recommendation is the online NCSBN course given by Pearson Vue. It is economical, has content, strategy and relaxation, plus they had the closest NCLEX type questions out of all the resources I used. I doubt I would have passed if I did not use this course. Did it for two weeks.
I'm not sure you would say that about the Feuer program if you had actually taken it. All of the questions they gave us were of poor quality and riddled with errors in which they admitted. We were also told incorrect information in the maternity lecture which they also admitted. I'm not sure about you, but I wasn't thrilled about paying that much money to be told incorrect information.
Sorry you had such a bad experience Kelli. Again, NCSBN was the best option for me.
