Congratulations to all who have taken the NCLEX-PN and have passed! :balloons:
Just out of curiosity--I was wondering if any of you had questions that had "Check all that apply" but found out that there was ONLY ONE answer that really applied?
In this forum, I have read others talk about having pharm, prioritization, labs and of course select all that apply questions on their NCLEX test, nothing is being said of OB, PEDs or Psyc. are these areas of nursing tested in the NCLEX-pn exams or not?
Will appreciate any input.

I had Three OB questions. I really didn't have any PEDS questions. Most were what you mentioned: Prioritizing, Pharm, Multiple Multiples, Some I and O converision, and sequencing.

I don't think that any of my 'all that apply' questions on NCLEX ever just asked for one answer, but of course, I'll never know. I was just so happy that I passed that I really didn't care. I had 7 of them in a row on mine and went completely nuts. I hate those questions because they ARE tricky.
Is good to know OB questions are being asked, I didn't quite like PEDS, I enjoyed other areas of nursing but found PEDS a little challenging. I'm spending more time on PEDS as I review for my test. I'll be glad if I didn't get questions from there. Thanks for your input Ivliss2ebecca.
I agree with you pagandeva2000, that the so called check all that apply questions are tricky. I think 7 in a row is a lot though, I hope I don't get those types of questions, I think they are brutal. You must have done really well on them afterall you passed! Thanks for sharing your experience.

Hi! When I took my boards last month I had a mixture of questions, OB Mental, Peds and Med/Surg and Pharm. I also had select all that apply and priority questions. I think it's the luck of the drawl and the fact that the computer knows your weakness. I agree with everyone that the select all that apply are very tricky
Sounds like the type of exam I like. But again is an adaptive test, I guess is best to focus on all areas. Thanks for your input Idonohue!
