NCLEX PN ...shut off at 89!!!

Published

I took the NCLEX PN today. I feel so sick to my stomach. It shut off at either 88 or 89 and I have no idea if I got the question right. I had a ton of teaching, several priority and SATA, maybe 1 or 2 pharm and no calculations. I feel like I guessed on half of that test. Now I have to wait 48 hours to find out and I just can't imagine failing this test!! Any words of encouragement, experience, anything.... I just want to hide in my room, I have never felt so horrible about a test!

It is a very rare person who does NOT feel horrible walking out of that exam. Very normal, in fact, to believe you bombed it rather than passed! If it's your first go-round, and you graduated from a US school of nursing, your chances are around 85% that you passed it today. Pretty good odds, I'd say.

The number of questions you got means nothing. Neither does the format (SATA or anything else), or whether you got a pharm question or math. ALL domains covered by the exam are really covered, whether you recognized the type or not.

Pay the eight bucks for Quick Results once it's been about 48 hours from the time you finished the exam.

Meantime, clean the closets, scrub the bathroom, donate clothes and books you don't want. Walk the dog, take a trip to the mall to get yourself something shiny, meet a friend for lunch (and NO NCLEX TALK! She doesn't want to hear it, trust me!).

It'll all be over soon. Breathe. :)

hi! did you got your results already?

I did! I passed! I did not do the quick results, my name was already listed on the Texas BON website!
