Hi I have a very important question. I currently have an open court case. I have NOT been convicted of a crime. THIS JUST happened, I am devastated because I am being dragged into this because of my ex boyfriend. Will I still get an ATT? I am so nervous like literally having a breakdown. Can anyone provide any leads or advice. Thank you.

Per TOS policy we here cannot dispense legal advice.
All can say is if you are in school speak with an advisor. That and or contact the NYS BON for their advice on how to proceed.
*VERY* generally speaking it is criminal convictions that can derail your potential for licensure. However NYS like other states does have a moral clause in terms of those seeking to become and or remain a professional nurse. For these reasons again strongly suggest you seek competent professional and legal counsel.
Best of luck.
Hi I do have an attorney who said it will come
up
only
if they run VIA fingerprints which they don't. I graduated school already in Jan 2015 and am waiting for my ATT. I failed my NCLEX June 2015 and was discouraged to take it again.

Since you've finished with school I'd concentrate on passing the NCLEX on your second attempt. Again am *NOT* giving you legal advice; but if you do not have a criminal conviction as of yet it *may* not matter. Again I'd contact the NYS BON and just ask.....
Just to put this out there, I'd do everything humanly possible to get out of this mess with your BF. Even if/when you pass the boards just having a license will not automatically translate to places hiring you with a criminal conviction. Thing to do is keep your nose clean from here on in and let this "scare" serve as a warning.
Best of luck (again)

Thank you for your advice but he's not my BF anymore and hasn't been for TWO YEARS!!!!!!! And I don't know how I was just dragged into his mess somehow a few weeks ago. I know the charges will drop however they are there now for whatever reason I am unsure of. I lived with him but I never did anything nor was I ever aware of anything he was doing. as far as I was concerned he was always working. Also I will DEFINITELY NEVER have a conviction, just haven't proved myself in court yet.
as sad as it sounds and I am not looking for sympathy I was at the wrong place at the wrong time I guess.
thanks for your help.
