NCLEX next week!!!!

Published

hi everyone! i take my nclex next week after studying for months!! i graduated in may 2010 and have been some studying ever since, my school provided a one on one tutor with ATI and after months i finally got the green light to test! i have also been doing some studying of my own, but the anxiety is beginning to get ahold of me. I've used a Kaplan review book, still using Saunders Comp Review and Illustrated Study guide. Does anyone have any last minute tips for me?! I've heard of Exam Cram and is it available free/online? i'm trying to maintain my confidence but as the time gets closer it is getting more difficult!!! PLS HELP!!!:uhoh3:

Make sure you know the mnemonics for infection control. Know your lab values. If you were to buy a book I suggest Lacharity(excellent and a must for prioritization, delegation, assignments). Doing these three things alone will take care of the infection control, management of care, parts of the nclex. I also recommend viewing the sticky note labeled random facts at the top of the nclex thread.

Just relax before your exam and I agree to finish, be sure to know mnemonics and La charity book...Try to borrow exam cram in the library if you still have time and if it is available...Good luck and we will pray for your success...

:lol2:CONGRATS ON PASSING YOUR NCLEX:yeah::heartbeat...Pls i need help, i have not yet taken nclex yet but i have been studyin with Lacharity and doing kaplan qbank, i feel like am not doing good..my email address is [email protected] any material/tips that will help me pass in my first attempt will be highly appricaited..thanks in advance and congratulations once more..:lol2:

hey guys i cant reply to personal messages or private messages as of yet, but i will take this time to break down my study habits, to see if they might help u: i used Saunders Comprehensive review book, Lacharity priority and delegation book (the work book with questions and answer), Kaplan book (purple), and Alternate format questions book (green). My school had a deal that after we graduated, if we paid for a tutoring session from ATI then they would pay for our test. I started off very slow, my weakest areas were med surg and pharm! i was so discouraged becuz the clock was tickin' and summer was fading away. I would reccomend about 2 hrs, really good hrs a day! Be very confident and if u have a point in which u dont feel confident keep going! THE MOST IMPORTANT PIECE OF ADVICE I HAVE U WILL NOT KNOW EVERYTHING!! A FACTOR I LEARNED WHEN ANSWERING QUESTIONS IS TO CORRECTLY READ THE QUESTION, IF U DO NOT KNOW THE ANSWER RIGHT AWAY, REREAD THE QUESTION, USE CONTEXT CLUES AND DO NOT SECOND GUESS URSELF! :yeah: while still in the ATI tutoring i did questions on the disks from all of these books! do as many as possible and READ THE RATIONALS!! u will remember them when the test comes. i also used a website called studystack.com (look for nursing tab), play the games, look at the labs, look at the meds!! even if u feel as if its not sticking it is! allnurses has also helped me very much! go to the tips thread and read!! alot of those tips really helped me!! and dont let time make u feel bad cuz i graduated in may and just took my test last week, i was sooo upset that all that time had gone by but i was successful and u will be too!!! feel free to ask any more questions guys, i will get back to them as soon as possible!:redbeathe
