Hi! Im a new member here

For those who sent their NCLEX application please provide me a guidelines/ step by step on how to apply NCLEX to california BON. Where I could get a downlable/ fillable form? What are the requirements needed?

Please englighten me guys

Thanks

you could download the form @ www.rn.gov.ca and you could read the form for the steps and the requirements required... then you could Fed-*x it to the address specified... then wait for 5 or more months for your eligibility then register for your ATT and schedule of exam @ pearsonvue... be ready with your passport as it will be needed as your only ID...

There is no such thing as an application for the NCLEX exam, it just does not exist. You will be applying for licensure as an RN, the exam is only one step in the process. But highly recommend that you take the time to do some reading on this forum before you send or complete anything.

We do not recommend CA for initial licensure for a variety of reasons and right now, the most important being that without a SSN#, you only get a letter that you have passed, no license issued and not considered a US RN. Then the fact that the passing letter is only good for three years and then your file is destroyed, taking everything with it, including your passing of the exam. You are looking at about a five year wait for a chance at a green card, so you will have to start the process over thru another state. And throwing out all of the money that you spent.

Suggest doing some research here first.

Hi suzzane4

My husband lives in california and Im holding Immigrant Visa. If ever I passed the exam they would not consider me as a US RN? even If a have SSN#?

There is no application for the NCLEX exam, it just does not exist.

You will be applying for licensure as an RN, and even though you may have a green card at this time, you are going to be considered as a foreign nurse and have to meet the addtional requirements before you will be given permission to sit for the NCLEX exam. You are looking at four to six months before you will get approval to sit for the exam, and then CA does not have Quick Results either.

If you have a SSN# when you apply for the license, then yes, you will be a US RN when you take and pass the exam and are issued a license, but not until then.
