NCLEX EXAM!!

Published

Hi good people. I just wanted to post this on here so as to motivate anyone who wants or is going to take the NCLEX RN. I graduated in May of this year. I was confused on what to use as my study tool but I finally settled for Kaplan. Also, during nursing school, I utilized the Saunders Comprehensive RN and the ATI. I started my studies during the last week of may after graduating on the first week of May based on the study plan resulting from the assessment score on Saunders. It was a 6 week plan and I followed it with all my heart. Its a lot believe me but very doable! I wanted to know the content. I would study for 8-12 hours per day depending on the topic for that day. My scores for Kaplan were as follows:

QT1: 72

QT2: 67

QT3: 52

QT4: 52

QT5: 49

QT6: 50

QT7: 53

I did all questions from the bank. I would study during the day and then do about 75 questions everyday and re mediate the wrong answers. If I had the energy, I would also do the targeted ATI questions for each topic I had studied that day. My scores ranged from 50-55 during the first few weeks but averaged about 62-64 during my last weeks. I scored a 65 on the Kaplan readiness test. I took the ATI predictor 2 days before my nclex and scored a 76% which meant I had a 97 % chance of passing the real exam. I took my real exam a month and three weeks after graduation and passed the first time! I am now an RN (BSN) at a Medical Surgical Unit at one of the hospitals in NC. Good luck to everyone.
