how do i register to take the nclex examination?
once you've applied for a license from your state board of nursing, you will receive an nclex examination candidate bulletin in the mail. you may then register with the national council of state boards of nursing's testing service by phone, or by filling out a mail-in registration form. once your state board of nursing has verified your eligibility to take the nclex examination, you will receive an authorization to take the test (att), along with a list of testing centers and instructions for how to schedule an appointment to take the examination.
someone can explain me what is happen? why is necessary to make a nclex registration first (after i received nclex examination candidate bulletin in the mail) and only after this first step will become the second step - att receiving and appointment schedule for nclex exam?
my bon will send the att to me. why is necessary to make nclex registration before receiving att? who choose our cities, and hours for nclex exam? nclex exam is the same in all us cities?
when will i do the nclex registration, i will have also and the centre, the day and the time when i'll have nclex examination? between nclex registration and att and appointment confirmation is a long time? when i will know how much i have before big day-nclex exam?
if we pass the exam will be great? but if we will not? the att will be still available and we can make an other nclex appointment after 90 day starting whit exam's day or will be necessary to apply for a new att an the procedure will be started again?
so many questions but only you can know responses. thanks!

To make it easier to understand:
1. Apply to BON for licensure. Once they accept your credentials, they will send you a letter stating that you meet their requirements, except for taking the exam.
2. You submit payment to Pearson-Vue, once they receive approval from your BON, they will send you the ATT.
3. As soon as you have the ATT, you will be able to schedule your exam, pick city, date, etc.
Be aware that once you get your ATT, maximum amount of time that you will have to take the exam is 90 days.
You will not reeive the ATT until you pay the fee to Pearson-Vue for the exa, since they are now the one that will actually send you the ATT. The BON gives approval, but does not send the actual piece of paper.
Verry clear! Thank you! :kiss
You are very welcome.:wink2:
