Do people really pass after 265 Questions-NCLEX

Ok. Now I'm really frustrated. I was sitting in that room for over 3 hours and watching the questions count all the way to 265. I was the last person to leave. I'm not feeling very confident. I know most of you said that it shut off after 75 questions or so, and you passed. I have only heard of a few people passing with 265 questions...anyone out there?

I studied and did lots of practice questions. The truth is, I don't test well - I usually "barely" pass everything related to these types of exams.

It will be a long weekend while awaiting the results. I already have a job lined up so I think I will be rather embarrassed if I have to tell them that I failed. Not only that, but I'm still burnt out with all of this studying stuff! Advice?

C.

A classmate of mine took hers recently and considers herself not a great test taker either, she had all 265 question and today is a RN. So keep your chin up! I hear the waiting is the worse part.

Good luck and keep us posted on your status.

I was just talking to my best freind. She told me that her sister in-law took the test and failed the first time with 165 questions and 5 hours later. She passed the 2nd try with 265 questions and 3 hours. English is her second language too. We can do this.

Yeah, when I wrote I was the same way, the questions just kept coming and I was in there for over 3 hours and passed so hang in. I don't do tests well either. I forgot how many questions I had but it was as least that many 265.

good friend of mine tested 265 and passed. my bestest bud in the world tested with me. we both had 75 questions. i passed. she did not. :o

i don't think it's in the number. i've heard all different numbers of people that passed or failed.

Classmate of mine had all 265 last week. Found out Friday that she passed. Good luck

I heard that if you are going all the way (taking all 265 questions) and the computer still hasn't decided if you meet the requirements or not, that at the end of the 265 questions, all the computer looks at are the last 75 questions you answered to make it's final decision. So it seems to be really important that especially for the last seventy five questions, if it looks as though youa re in it for the long haul, you might want to pay special attention.

Can anyone second this? i heard this from a Kaplan rep.

I take it in september. I'm CHICKEN!

Geek,

I also heard from a PhD professor who said that if you get 265 questions, it looks back at the last 60 questions and determines if you consistently above the "line of passing" and then makes the determination of whether you passed or not.

thanks zach. good to know just in case.

Oh my Gosh! I just received something from my State Board of Nursing that says I can officially be known as "Registered Nurse!"

I guess this means I passed?!?!?!

Thank you to all of you for your advice and support!

So just because you get the max number of questions still may mean that you passed...

I can't believe it!

You give me hope CJ. I take mine tomorrow morning. After doing the 265 question Kaplan test and only getting 63% on it, you give me hope. I will be so glad when this is over.
