I plan to graduate with my ADN in May from a school in TN. I will be moving back to GA after graduation though. I was wondering if I can take the NCLEX in GA instead of taking it in TN then having to get it transferred.

I moved as well right after school ended. I took my NCLEX in another state. There is no problem taking it in another state, it just takes a bit longer to get everything ok'd to take the test. The state has to get validation form the school and that took a bit longer since it was another state.
Contact the BON in the state you want to take the NCLEX in to make sure you have all your ducks in a row first. I had to have my school fill out a form and send it to the BON. I would have never known this if I had not contacted them first.

I attended a California school from 2004 to 2005, then moved to Texas. I took the NCLEX in Texas and passed, so I plan to endorse my California license into Texas as soon as humanly possible.

We live in Mississippi. Husband took NCLEX in Louisiana and it didn't take any longer than if he would have taken it in state. I wonder if various reciprocity agreements factor into how long it would take to get approval to test in a different state than the one you graduated in.

I graduated in one state but I am moving in April to a different state.. So I just had to apply to the new state (florida) and they will authorize me to take the test in my old state (montana) but I will still get a Florida license and not Montana license. YOu can take your test in any state you want..
