NCLEX books to review with?

Published

This is my second time doing Med-Surg so I learned that I have to focus more on the NCLEX questions, along with the reading/powerpoint/values. There are a ton of NCLEX books to use and I have no idea how to pick one at all, nor do I know how people are reviewing it if I go through some questions and out of 10 questions 2 or 3 were about HIV. So help on what NCLEX book to use to review and how to find the questions to review the material (if theres a more efficient way to find them). I was also hoping for a program that worked with my Macbook Pro, but at this point, I'll try anything. I appreciate any help you can give!

Hope you are having a wonderful day :)

I used the Kaplan NCLEX book and the Saunders NCLEX-RN.

Personally, I liked the Kaplan b/c it had similar NCLEX style questions. This book familiarizes you with the strategic approach in answering the best answer available. The Saunders I used merely for content review. Hope this helps!

I use Saunders (they have the new one available now) and NCLEX for dummies solely for the overwhelming number of questions they have available. I feel 1/2 the battle is learning how to answer them while learning the content.
