Also, this is going to sound totally stupid, but I just took out my nose ring and miss it already...I know better than showing up to the interview/orientation with it in, and I'm sure I wouldn't be able to keep it during school. It just sucks, because even though I've had it for years, the hole starts closing up almost right away without it.
Alli, thanks for your reply. I already took it out and for some reason, the hole starts closing right away. I can't keep taking it in and out because it hurts/bleeds and I really don't want to get an infection. I will miss it though....Also, I just wanted you to know that I always appreciated your thoughtful posts and all the info you provide.
Nat, how do you know what teacher you will have?
You have to try and get the best grades possible, but even with a 4.0 you probably won't get in if all you have are the 4 prereqs. You should take as many of the non nursing classes as you can before applying b/c they will take someone with a 3.5 and all those classes finished over someone with a 3.9 and only a few classes finished.
You should try to do really well in A&P 1 and 2. 2 is not a prereq, but I wouldn't apply w/out it. Also, if you take all the english and social science classes you will probably get good grades which would boost your GPA.
The grades needed to get in vary with the applicant pool each year, but I'm in the evening class and know at least one person that got in w a 3.75.
Thanks a lot. Now, I'm going to tell you my grades.
English Comp 1 A-
English Comp 2 B+
Math 275 A-
Psy 101 A-
Child Psych B-
A&P 1 B-
A&P 2 B
Sociology C

Effective Communication C
Since you're in the evening program do you think I have a chance?
How many times did you apply before you got in?
