NC- UNCG vs WSSU

Hello everyone!

I am new to allnurses, I've been searching all over the web and can't seem to get any good hits, so I decided to post my question here!

I am preparing to transfer out of a community college and am hoping to begin in Fall 2016 at my new school. I'll be going for my BSN and hopefully MSN to NP (eventually). My two options are to transfer to WSSU in Winston-Salem, which is closer OR transfer to UNCG. I am about to schedule tours in the next two weeks or so, and if anyone else is battling this option, I'd be happy to report what I've been shown and my "vibes" about each college.

Anyways, I'm just torn over which college to go to! I really want to make the best decision for my career. From what I've been researching, it doesn't appear that WSSU has a study-abroad opportunity, while UNCG does. I would really enjoy the opportunity to do this, so it's a heavy factor for me. Also, it appears that you just need a GPA of 2.6 to enter at WSSU, and UNCG has an average of 3.1, which makes it seem like UNCG holds their the students to a higher standard? (Just speculating)

I always ask people when the situation arises, and it's pretty evenly split, with just a little more favoring UNCG.

What do y'all think? What have y'all heard? Any former students from either school?
