I am scheduled to take NC 3 in two weeks. I have been focused on maternal child because that is the biggest portion of the test. Anyone else that has taken it recently that has any thoughts as to what to study for? I try to follow the content guide but I feel like I am pulled in several directions. Thanks Jeanette

You need to do well in all areas of the exam. NC 3 consists of pain mgmt, community nursing, OB, male and female reproductive health to name a few. Suppose you passed in all but one area of the exam, you would still fail the whole exam. I have heard that NC3 and NC5 are the most difficult of the nursing exams. You may want to consider purchasing the practice exams for $60 each from EC. Some of the questions on the practice exams are on the actual exam, word for word. It includes 2 exams with 100 questions each. Take the practice exams, then look at the answers you get wrong and that will give you a good idea as to what to brush up on. The actual test is 160 questions, and not all of them count, but they don't state which ones, so do your best on all of them. (Those questions are for future consideration) Good Luck!
