NC Central University/Triangle aBSN

U.S.A. North Carolina

Hello everyone! I have been searching through the North Carolina Nursing forum looking for information about NCCU's Accelerated BSN program. I cannot find anything recent, so I was wondering if anyone here has recently finished the program, is currently going through the program or is applying. I have a Bachelor's in History from Mount Olive College, so I was interesting in aBSN programs, but would (of course) consider other options. My husband is and I are moving to the Triangle within the next two years, and Duke is unfortunately not an option for us financially. I have also looked into the accelerated program at UNC, and I am considering it as well. I also welcome any other suggestions!

I graduated C/O 2013. Good program. They have information on the website and you can always call and talk to a counselor. Have you met the prerequisites for the program? Bridge courses for absn students start in aug. The entry process into the program is 2 fold. Meaning that you have to first pass the bridge courses and then be accepted into the upper division nursing courses. There were 40 students in my bridge class and only 20 were accepted. To this end, I advise people to apply at NCCU, but also have a plan b and even c....

Best Wishes

Hey guys! I know this post is old, but I was curious if both of you went to nccu's absn program and what your experience was like? I'm considering it and just wanted some feedback. Thanks!
