So Im new to this website, Im still in nursing school but I am seriously thinking about navy nursing corp. I was wondering what the physical requirements were for OCS. I know I can be physically prepared, I just need to know what I will be expecting physically. also any other insight to ocs would be lovely.

Navy nurses go to ODS, not OCS. And once you are at ODS you'll be glad you didn't go to OCS...holy cow, that looked scary! haha
You pretty much have to be in standards which you can find by googling "navy PRT standards." At ODS my class didn't really PT that much, but I know other classes that worked out everyday. It's not that hard. I got outstanding high on the PRT while at ODS and I ran maybe 3 times a week, so it's not impossible. It just takes practice working on push-ups and sit-ups every day and running. Is that what you mean by physical requirements?
Check out my post on "I just graduated ODS..." that might give you some insight on what to expect.
Good luck! :)
Ya that helped alot, since its not OCS, (my boyfriend was supposed to go to OCS till he broke his hip) how do I get into contact with an ODS recruiter, I know if it was OCS, I would get into contact with an OSO, Im not planning on joining for another little while, I still need to get further into nursing school.
Just make sure you talk to a Medical Officer Recruiter. You can talk to a recruiter now, even when you are in nursing school. While you are in school you can do the Nurse Candidate Program and get money each month or wait until you graduate and get a bonus. Even if you went the direct commission route you can start the application process now. It took me 2 years to get in!

Are you in atlanta. I saw atl at the end of your name. If you are I can give you my recruiters information. She is very good and low pressure. She is a medical corps recruiter at the healthcare recruitement office in atlanta. It is good to talk to them, maybe you can visit a base while you are in nursing school.
