Published

I have seen a few threads out there representing different years so I wanted to put this one out there.

I am applying this year toward acceptance for the grad year 2015.

Who is with me??

I'd love to be able to talk about our journey, and share in the excitement and anxiety of it all.

Soo... Hello... I'm a married (to a marine) mother of 3 LVN to BSN student and I am motivated like heck to get accepted and excel.

I'm from the SD area and go to WCU. I have most of my packet done just waiting on part 2 of my physical and the transcripts to come in.... then it's just the interviews and boards... I'm sooo anxious!!! eeeee!!!!

Good luck to you all and happy nursing!

Ok :) My old recruiter never gave me one so I was completely in the dark about a lot of things.

Did you guys get a welcome letter informing you on pretty much everything to expect? I just got one from my recruiter and it really sheds a lot of light on the ncp.

I'd love to know what it says before I start getting my kit together.

Wow you guys are way ahead of me on this! I just contacted my recruiter for the first time today! I also graduate in May of 2015 and am looking to join the NCP. From what I see, it's very competitive. Hopefully I still have a chance even though I guess I have to meet August boards!

Any tips on what to say once the recruiter calls me back? What questions did the recruiter ask when they called/you called them first? Just trying to be prepared!

Good luck everyone!

Hi all!

I was just accepted into an accelerated BSN program with an anticipated graduation date of Spring 2015. I am currently in contact with the Navy & Air Force trying to see what the best fit for me would be! A Navy recruiter did contact me & I filled out the basic eligibility worksheet & sent her my resume yesterday. Just waiting to hear back from her on what the next step is..

I am single with no kids, so I'm very excited about the opportunity to serve in the military and go to an overseas base/hospital or any new adventure!

CSUnursegirl2b, it seems like you & I are on the same page right now!

The recruiter will just ask about your transcripts, school status, etc and tell you about the ncp program. Afterwards you'll probably get started on your paperwork :) good luck!

Hello Everyone! I am currently in the ADN program at my local Junior College and also taking classes for the Accelerated BSN with the anticipated graduation date of May 2015. I am a prior enlisted Marine with a background in Information Technology. I just started my packet this week and will hopefully get the ball rolling on it ASAP. The military is definitely a small world because my recruiter is someone who I knew while I was in Afghanistan and Iraq. He told me that the best thing to do is finish the packet as soon as possible and let the military make the decisions. From the discussion I had with him today, I think the first boards is in August. (I could be wrong though).

Hi everyone! I will be applying for the NCP next year once I get accepted into a BSN program (I'm working on my ADN now). I will be 35 when I apply. I know that the age limit is 41, but does anyone know if applicants have been accepted that are close to my age and older? It seems that most people being accepted are much younger.
