I'm wondering what the number of applicants are for direct commission active duty/general RN this fiscal year? Does anyone have an idea?
Errr thanks for the news..lol.I feel I have a good chance getting picked if I'm chosen the first board for review. I do have a backup plan if I don't get on the first board. I've already started the process to switch from my current department to ICU. I just don't want to finalize the switch right now until I hear back from my recruiter. I know I'll get in one way or another. Thanks for sharing your experience with me, it's making it helpful.
I was told by my recruiter at the begining of this month that my kit was up for review on the first board. I, however, believe that your kit was ready prior to mine (I had that credentialing hickup); if it is true what you say--it sounds like your recruiter or processer goofed on the submission. I am having one heck of a time trying to contact my recruiter. When I graduated high school I couldn't get these guys to stop calling my house, and now that I want in it seems like I'm always hunting them down. The irony! haha

Yes my recruiter goofed. I say this bc the processor started contacting me directly for information. So did the meps processor. My recruiter sent me an email saying they would know week of October 14 whose kit was sent. Oh we'll nothing to do about it know. I have some ICU experience so I'm switching departments to change credentials just in case.

sounds like your package is incredibly strong--you definitely have the experience. and i feel your frustration with keeping in touch with your recruiter. the most frustrating part of my summer was trying to contact (or get called back) by my recruiter; you can't blame them though, the job market has obviously flooded their workload with civilian jobs becoming less and less, especially for new graduates like myself. i was told just now that we might not hear back complete results from the first board till november. ah the ambiguity just seems to keep growing, haha.
