I only went to TCC ADN (2 year RN). I do know you want your A&P's done before any N.program. No time during the program for extra work, A&P is not an easy course, but it is fun. Remember with A&P you have a lab and a lecture so it is a 4 credit hour coorifice. Some people take some classes along with Nursing School, though. I think because of the few semesters in TCC N.S., that are only four hours and they don't get finicial aid during those semester (4 hr. pediactric sem. and 4 hr Obstetrics sem). I guess you could take one prereq class ( 2credit hours class) if your school has a semester low in hrs. like that but why not take them all ahead while you wait to get in. Please take them ahead of time.
I applied in March of this year and just got my acceptance letter a couple of days ago. I did take A&P 1&2 first but my original plan was to go for RN. So I have all the prerequisites for RN done. I have the Coriscana Campus if anyone else has this campus let me know.....Would be nice to somewhat know someone on the first day and for Nurse Camp.
I also applied in March and got in my first time. I took the RN pre reqs because I had also applied to a RN program and didnt get in so I applied to LVN at Navarro and I got in! I had also taken some DMAT classes and that seemed to help with the Accuplacer because I passed the first time. Lol.
I am glad that I heard also of someone else getting in also! I will be at the Waxahachie campus for the program but it would be nice to kind of know someone the first day of nurse camp at Corsicana. Congrats and Good LUck!
Has anyone gotten their notice saying their background check has come back yet? I got the letter that said I was accepted to the nursing program pending my background check. I was wondering if anyone else got one and if so if your check has come back yet?
All I have left to do is order my lab kit, health form and Cpr cert.
Im so excited I cant wait!!
