Navarro College Fall 2018 ADN

Published

Hi there!!!

I have applied to Navarro College ADN program for Fall 2018. I was curious if anyone else out there has done the same and would like to wait impatiently with me on here. :geek:

How did you all do on your entrance exam? I made a 91 on reading, 85 on math, 68 on science (that one makes me nervous), and an 82 on english.

Good luck to everyone, and I hope to hear from you soon!!

Vanessa

Hello Everyone!!! Congrats to all that made into the program... I just have a few questions for you that did...

* What class did you complete prior to applying?

* How difficult is the TEAS?

* Did you apply at any other programs? If so, where? and did you get accepted there?

* Any tips on getting in?

Hi MilQ. Thanks! Pretty exciting to get in. I took all the pre-reqs that Navarro required before applying. The TEAS sucked but it's completely do-able. It's nothing you shouldn't already know but you should definitely get a couple of study guides - the ATI study guide and the Mometrix ones are what I used.

I did not apply anywhere else and as far as tips... make A's, study for the TEAS especially the Reading potion and pray!! Good luck and best wishes!

Hey guys. i just wanted to know what did you do before applying to the nursing program. Do you know if the college ranks the applications like El Centro and Mountain View? I am thinking of this school when I move back!

i'm not sure about El Centro or Mountain View. Navarro ranks you by your TEAS reading score and if you passed all sections. Then they look at your GPA as well. Before applying I took the pre-reqs at Navarro. I'm pretty excited about starting in a couple of weeks. Good luck!

is Navarro an online program?

No, it is not.

Hello all!

I'm considering applying to the bridge program at navarro(waxahachie). How is your experience so far? Any need to know details would be greatly appreciated!!!

Anyone who did Teas second time?

Sorry for late reply, nursing school keeps me busy. Experience so far has been super! The instructors are wonderful, very caring and they really want you to succeed. I'm guessing you're a twin mom, me too!

Hey guys I know this forum is old but I just want to see how you all enjoy Navarro's Rn program thus far. I've applied for this fall 2019 and hoping to get some good insight! I hope you all are doing well in their program! You guys rock! My main question is their anything that you've struggled with that you wish you would've know before you started as far academics is concerned? Dosage Cal, how'd you tackle that. I'm curious because I have zero time for failure and would like to prepare in advance! Thanks ya'll!

Hi! Loving it! Wish I knew all about pharmacology lol It's not that bad. Good instructors. Dosage is also not a problem, I actually hate math but enjoy doing these calculations. The instructor who teaches it is very good and is available for lots of extra help if you need it. The absolute only thing I wish I knew more of before I started was medical terminology but thank God for google ;) You got this!! Good luck!

I know this is an old thread, but I am curious as to if any alternate was then chosen to be in the program or even offered a spot in the LVN program???
